SUMMARY:Sheboygan Symphony: Snowmen\, Nutcrackers...and Kevin McCallister!
DESCRIPTION:The Snowman is an animated film based on Raymond Brigg’s picture book The Snowman. The story is told through pictures\, action and music\, and has no dialogue\, with the exception of the central song\, “Walking in the Air.” Howard Blake stated that he wanted to incorporate the lyrics with “a symphony that expressed the complete innocence and beauty that we are all born with.” \nTchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker premiered in 1892 in Saint Petersburg\, Russia but is now a part of our American holiday culture thanks to the San Francisco Ballet\, and especially the George Balanchine New York City Ballet production. But don’t let the familiarity fool you\, Tchaikovsky’s score is a work of genius. \nThe film Home Alone has become a touchstone for many people at the holidays\, albeit a comic one. While not as famous as his other film scores\, the one and only John Williams composed the music\, and it is an ingenious blend of original music and traditional holiday carols.

DESCRIPTION:Warped Productions began as Warped Dance Company in 2007 as a contemporary dance company performing internationally including Guatemala and Switzerland. In 2016\, Maria Hackbarth\, Artistic Director\, introduced Aerial Dance into the company and that has been their focus since expanding studios twice with two locations\, Sheboygan and Milwaukee. \nIn 2023 Milwaukee Magazine named them the Best Aerial Studio in Milwaukee. \nSince becoming an aerial dance company\, they have been invited back to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They are an annual favorite at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Midsummer Festival of the Arts and hired to perform in dozens of parades and festivals throughout the United States. Several of their members perform 65 circus shows all over New England every Summer. \nThe company has excelled in national aerial dance competitions in Las Vegas\, Kansas City\, Florida and St. Louis taking home multiple first place awards. As well as many statewide competitions performing intricate routines in Silks\, Lyra\, Trapeze\, Pole\, Rope\, Aerial Straps and Hammock.
